Greenfield Park

Longueuil’s small bilingual corner, with streets lined with tall trees.

Greenfield Park is the smallest borough of Longueuil, but it has a personality all its own. Long a mostly English-speaking town, it keeps a bilingual life: people switch between French and English naturally, at the park and at the grocery store.

Its residential streets, lined with tall trees, mix bungalows, cottages and post-war homes. Charles-Le Moyne Hospital is in the area, along with French and English schools.

Between Brossard, Old Longueuil and Saint-Hubert, it gives quick access to boulevard Taschereau, highway 10 and the Samuel De Champlain Bridge.

It’s for you if…

  • You want to live in French and English every day.
  • You love tall trees and quiet streets.
  • You work at the hospital or near boulevard Taschereau.

Maybe not for you if…

  • You want new construction: recent builds are rare.
  • You want lots of choice: the area is small, so fewer homes are for sale at any time.

Before buying here, we check

  1. Access to English schoolIn Quebec, English public school requires a certificate of eligibility. Check your situation before choosing a home for its school.
  2. The tall treesBeautiful, but we look at roots near the foundation and drains, and at the roof under the branches.
  3. The post-war houseElectrical, plumbing and insulation have often been redone… or not. We ask for the invoices.

The question to ask yourself

Why Greenfield Park rather than Brossard?

For the feel: a small, established, leafy and bilingual area rather than a large, fast-growing city. Brossard has more choice and the REM. We can show you both so you can compare.

Selling here

Here, buyers often come for the bilingual feel and the trees. A listing in French and English, with good photos of the street and the yard, speaks to them directly.
