Saint-Lambert
A small town at the end of the Victoria Bridge, with its own village and tall trees.
Saint-Lambert is the town right across from Montreal. The Victoria Bridge lands here, the St. Lawrence Seaway runs alongside it with its lock, and the train station takes you downtown in a few minutes.
The heart of town is rue Victoria: shops, cafés and restaurants, within walking distance of the streets around it. Nearby, streets lined with tall trees and many houses from the early twentieth century, each one different from the next. French and English have lived side by side here for a long time.
It’s a small town, almost fully built. Little new construction goes up, so the choice depends mostly on which houses come up for sale.

Before buying here, we check
- The older houseFoundation, wiring, plumbing and insulation: for a house that is a hundred years old, the inspection and past renovations matter as much as the charm.
- The City’s rulesIn some areas, the City regulates façades and extensions. We check before the offer whether your renovation plans are allowed.
- Noise, street by streetNear the railway or Route 132, the noise isn’t the same as on an inner street. We visit at different times of day before you decide.
The question to ask yourself
Saint-Lambert or Brossard?
Brossard offers more choice, new construction and the REM. Saint-Lambert offers a village, older houses and the train, but fewer homes for sale. If you want to walk everywhere and character matters more than space, Saint-Lambert often wins. We look at both with you.
